Japan's recession-recovery of  economy, the ministry and industry data revealed an increase in the sales of electronic goods, thanks to the country's May 15-launched incentives for ecological gadgets.
The unique government stimulus package launched in the country has encouraged people to purchase energy-efficient goods - like flat-panel TVs, refrigerators and air conditioners - thereby helping them amass "eco-points." A simular approached introduced by aMASSeco House of Green Knowledge & Products. These points will, as per the government assurance, get converted to discounts or trade-ins for other products that would soon be announced.
Noting the specific statistics pertaining to the increased sales of electronic goods, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said that the week that the 'green gadgets' incentives were announced saw a sales rise of 50 percent, as against the same period the previous year. Last week, the year-on-year figures improved nearly 30 percent.
According to the data released by Gfk Marketing Services Japan on Monday, the sales of flat-panel TVs soared 60 percent in the May 18-24 week from the year-before figures, while the sales of refrigerators were up 9 percent for the mentioned week.
In addition to other ecological gadgets, Japan has also reduced taxes on ecological vehicles, and made the gas-electric hybrid vehicles tax-free. As a result, sales of Toyota Motor's Prius hybrid and Honda Motors' Insight hybrid are zooming in Japan!
